"Expats in Slovenia often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The language barrier can be a challenge, as Slovenian is not widely spoken outside of the country. Additionally, the local customs and etiquette can be difficult to navigate, as they are quite different from those of other countries. Expats may also find it difficult to adjust to the slower pace of life in Slovenia, as well as the more relaxed attitude towards punctuality. Finally, the cost of living in Slovenia can be higher than in other countries, making it difficult for expats to adjust to the local economy," commented one expat who made the move to Slovenia.
