What are emergency services like in Botswana?

Answer this Question

When we asked members about emergency services in Botswana, they wrote...

"Emergency services in Botswana are generally reliable and efficient. In the event of an emergency, the best way to call for an ambulance is to dial the emergency number 997. This number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free of charge. The ambulance service is provided by the Botswana Red Cross Society and is staffed by trained personnel. In addition to the ambulance service, the Botswana Red Cross Society also provides first aid and medical assistance," explained one expat living in Botswana.
