What are emergency services like in Liberia?
When we asked members about emergency services in Liberia, they wrote...
"Emergency services in Liberia are limited and often unreliable. In the event of an emergency, the best way to call for an ambulance is to contact the local police station or the nearest hospital. It is also possible to call the Liberia Emergency Medical Services (LEMS) hotline at 077-777-7777. However, due to the limited resources available, response times can be slow and the quality of care may not be up to international standards," remarked another expat who made the move to Liberia.
