Are healthcare and health insurance expensive in Nepal?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Nepal if healthcare and health insurance are expensive in Nepal, they wrote...

"Healthcare and health insurance in Nepal can be expensive, especially for those who are not covered by government-subsidized health insurance. Private health insurance plans are available, but they can be costly and may not cover all medical expenses. Additionally, many medical facilities in Nepal are not up to international standards, and the cost of medical care can be high. Furthermore, the cost of medications can be expensive, and many people in Nepal cannot afford them," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Nepal.
