In order to obtain residency in Haiti, foreign nationals must submit an application form, a valid passport, two passport-sized photographs, a police record, a medical certificate, and a fee to the nearest Haitian embassy or consulate. The application must also include a letter of intent, a letter of recommendation from a Haitian citizen, and proof of financial means. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be issued a residency card," explained one expat living in Haiti.
