Thinking about moving to Belize

Hi - My wife and I are contemplating a move to Belize. We've been looking into Placencia and I'll be taking a trip there from Aug 11-14 to check out some properties. I'd also like to connect with any expats and talk about life in Belize. I'll be staying on the southern section to start but I'll be able to move to other areas. Any recommendations for an expat gathering somewhere?
