Outings/trips in the Beijing area

Hi I am new to the forum. Moved to China 4 months ago currently living in Langfang which is about 45 minutes from Beijing. I am interested in connecting with people in the Beijing area for outing/day trips etc. like hiking the Great Wall or just tour of the region etc. I was in Beijing in 99 and noticed a expat hiking club notice at the Hilton.
