Almost time!

My wife and I are looking for some help on visa types etc. We plan on moving to Guangzhou in a couple of months and wonder what most Expats in the area do for Visa's? I have been to China many times but only get a tourist visa for 30 days. Do most people get these shorter Visas and just constantly re-new etc.? We will be opening a rep office for my company in 3 months after we arrive. Will this help us get a yearly visa? Thank you for all your help!
