African teaching English in China

I am young Black South African highly interested in teaching English in China. I have heard how its a bit odd for a African to get the jobs as their not considered English native speakers, even thought some of us went to schools teaching English as first language. especially in South Africa. Can anyone advise on this subject please. I am very proficient in the language and well learned and i honestly have potential as a young groomed man.
