We're looking to relocate some where in South or Central America and a few people have suggested Ecuador to me. We were planning to go for 2 weeks in July to look at real estate and to get more information but just found out that the schools that speak english are private schools. The cost for my 2 daughters that are in elementary school would be $20,000 a year!
The whole purpose of us relocating was to get away from the outrageous prices we pay here in Miami, Florida. Now we're thinking maybe Ecuador is not the place for us. Are there any american families that live in Ecuador whose children attend english speaking schools that don't cost so much? Our daughters understand spanish (we live in Florida, who doesn't) but they cannot speak, write and read it.
