Theater for Expats

Greetings from MN ! IN 2. 5 years I will hit early retirrment from teaching. I have produced / directed theater for 35 productions and wonder if these is any way I might still do one if the following when I arrive with sculptor husband in Ec. Could I do theater in English for expats ( is there enough of a desire to see theater ) ? Secondly could I do bilingual theater with a Spanish translator ? I some how think everyone loves a good story and bilingual sharing of stories from both hemispheres would be grand ! We are not going to live in Quito but leaning towards outskirts of Cuenca ( maybe Banos ? ) we are county people right now not city folks ... Thoughts anyone? We would only be in Ecuador from Nov. - April so my husband wonders if there is any market at all for his art work and I am wondering if there are ex pat artisans selling their work at galleries in Cuenca ? Thanks much all ! We are coming to Ecuador in Aug. -- can not wait to check out small towns for living away from snow and cold. Cheers- Cate & Al
