Planning a trip to Ec in a few weeks with the intent to move there within the year. Apologize if the info has been covered before on the forum but I’m not finding it.

Questions:
1. Can we buy (or start the process) before having some kind of permanent Visa?
2. According to the Ec Embassy in DC website it’s possible you may have to furnish proof of economic means to support ourselves during our stay in Ec. Would a bank statement suffice? Does it need to be apostilled or translated?
3. I’ve seen people mention Cedula and Censos documents required along with a permanent Visa. Can I get an explanation of the purpose for each, the cost, and what supporting documents are needed to obtain them? And do these supporting documents have to be apostilled and/or translated?
4. Has anyone used www.yourspanishtranslation.com for apostille and/or transation services?

Thanks very much in advance for the info!!
