Salinas Public Works Update

Earlier today met with the Mayor, and his Director's of Planning, Environmental Affairs, Legal Affairs, Tourism and Public Relations. We reviewed the schedules, budgets, risks and immediate next steps. He agreed with the program recommendations so the effort moves on. The projects include the recovery of the San Lorenzo beach, repairs and upgrade of the malecon, dedicated area for artisan vendors, new public restrooms, handicap access and related infrastructure improvements. Next steps include environmental permits, preparing documents for bidding, setting up an inspection program, and meeting with different national ministries to secure funding. Ed n Jenny
