Cuenca Power Outages

Greetings. I’m debating about planning a trip late April into to early May. U.S. Embassy latest entry about power outages was November 2024. Cuenca High Life today posts an article stating that possible outages thru April.

Are there current severe outages now and what are your thoughts about travellers coming in the April-May time frame? I know you may not be weather forecasters (ha!) but a trip of this magnitude does require some planning and expense. I’m trying to determine if it’s best to wait. I am retired and flexible with scheduling. Not so much with money………
