Golden Visa application

Hello.
I'm from the UK and purchased a residential property in Chania last year; I completed on it by mid-December. The value was c.300K Euro and so falls within the eligible bracket for the Golden Visa transition period.
Can anyone please tell me whether there is a deadline for me starting the visa application, and what the timescale might be when I do?
