Last Minute Relocation

I am moving to Malaysia with my husband and daughter with in the next couple of weeks. We have never lived abroad and even though I am super excited I am also terrified! I have so many questions? KL will be by far the largest city we have lived in. One of our main concerns is our dog, can we bring him? How hard will it be to get him there ? Do people have pets/dogs or will we be abnormal?

There are so many many more questions, I would love for someone in a similar situation to reply and maybe start a correspondence to help a new world travler?
