Moving to Mexico!

In May 2004 I visited the "gringo zone" at Lake Chapala, and my wife and I decided to move there. I posted a series of articles on the different towns around the lake.

Today we sign the contract with the buyers of our house. Hopefully, in May,we will be retiring to Mexico. We plan to rent while we look around for a house.

If I learned nothing else, I learned that you do not ever pay the asking price for a house.

We will be getting an FM3 card here in the US, and we will drive our station wagon with all that it will carry.

All suggestions, tips, advice, etc., from anyone who has done this are appreciated.
