Best place in Merida MX

it's difficult to really choose a place for 2 months without actually going there first. I don't want to only rely on blog posts or youtube.

I won't have a car so I'd like to be close to the market and some shopping. I'm also a photographer and love exploring historical places etc.. however, my job also requires me to be on client calls most of the day so I can't be somewhere loud and noisy.

It seems I can either be walking distance and noisy or far from everything but quiet.

Anyone with experience in areas in Merida can lend some advice or tips on what areas I should look?
