I've asked this question in car forums and nobody has an answer so I thought it might be a country issue and not a car issue. I live in Mexico and have two vehicles that i purchased used. The Grand Cherokee has a clear film attached to the INSIDE of the windshield. Does anybody know what this is for? It is a real pain in the neck when it comes to the verificacacion stickers that are applied to the inside of the windshield every 6 months. I can't use a scraper to remove them because of the film so it takes solvent and a lot of elbow grease to get the old ones off. The CR-V has what seems to be the same film on the inside of the rear window. I discovered this when trying to remove another government sticker when I did the reemplacamento process. Nobody in the car forums was able to identify the purpose of this film so I'm wondering if it is a Mexican thing? Seems like a strange thing to have in a country with so many mandatory and difficult to remove stickers! Thanks....
