Advice/Suggestion moving with animals

Hola, hello. We are a Yank and a POM currently living in New Zealand and we want to make a move to rural Mexico with our dogs (who are used to living on a farm = having territory and space). We are seeking advice on the best areas to look into living (with medium climate, not HOT), how to find rental houses (not aparatments), if it's hard to rent with animals, and any other information/suggestions.
