Teaching and Living In Manilla?

Hello...

I am looking at applying for jobs at the International Schools in and around Manilla. Specifically, International School of Manilla, Brent Schools, and British School of Manilla.

My question is this - what is it like to live in Manilla? I have been warned (by people who have not lived there of course) that it is a dirty polluted city. Is this the case? I have small children.

Is there a difference between living in central Manilla and outside the city?

One of the schools I am very interested in is located in Subic Bay.

Any insigt on the schools, or the city or living in Manilla in general would be GREATLY appreciated!
