Quiet semi Retirement

My wife and I are getting very tied our go go go lifestyle and are looking to find a quiet, non tourist, non bogane place we move to.
We have had a couple of business opportunities not work out hence money will be restricted....Australia is a very expensive place to live these days And I'm concerned we won't be albe to afford a reasonable retirement lifestyle

Our only real requirements are.
Cheap to live & rent
Quiet
Reasonably easy to get to
Non Touristy (not interested in the bar/night club scene at all)
Must have some sort of reliable internet connection (need this to continue to do some work)
Safe
Friendly
