MOUNTAIN TOP COMMUNITIES

Must wait until my house is sold in Pa. After which, I plan to move for up to six months to the Philippines. Prefer to rent an inexpensive two bedroom cottage in the mountains.
Tagaytag, Talisay and a few others are listed in the 2008 edition of, "Lonely Planet", as having cool climates, lakes and low pollution.
Are there other suggestions you could make to assist me with my search which could be endless? Do not wish to be in Muslim territory. Only have Social Security now.
After the six months I would like to return as a permanent resident. Possibly lease some land overlooking a lake and build a small bamboo cottage with decks. At local wages of course?
