I've actually tried reaching out to the Consulate in DC but got no response so I figured I would try here.
Marijuana is legal for citizens in Uruguay to purchase (as I understand it) but not for visitors/foreigners.
Its not illegal for visitors or foreigners to consume marijuana, but they cannot purchase nor to my knowledge can others legally purchase for them? Do I have that correct?
My question is if I leave the US from a Marijuana legal state and arrive in Uruguay, a legal nation am I illegal with a personal use amount?
No one can seem to answer this for me.
And before the obvious answer of "just don't bring it", I actually have a patient/medical card issued from my state and have been flat refusing opioids for years for an ailment.
