I'm an American wanna-be resident to Uruguay. My wife and I are in the process of applying for residency and are still exploring areas where we might want to live outside of Montevideo. We are pretty sure we want to locate near a population center, but not in the hustle and bustle every day. Chacra's are very appealing to us, but I'm very curious how these rural areas where Chacras are located handle trash. Are there pickup services or is each owner responsible for transporting or disposing of their trash on their property (ie. Burning, burying, hauling somewhere, etc.)? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! It's one of those "little details" that I've not seen anyone writing or blogging about. Thanks! Ahem, Muchas Gracias! :-)
