Very interested in relocating, somewhere downcoast-east of Montevideo

Been reading lots about moving to Uruguay. I presently speak basic Spanish, which worries me a bit. Looking to come for about a 2 week visit and was wondering where would be best to stay-for an understanding and appreciation of the country.
