My son got bit or stung by something at the beach… was in extreme pain… muscles cramping up, etc. we taxied to Amerimed . We waited for 15 min for someone to show up to the ER desk. Turns out he got stung by a sting ray… pretty serious, but all he had was an ibuprofen IV and some vinegar/hot water soak for a couple hours. Our bill: $720 USD!!! ? that seems outrageous!!! Any advice? We have been coming to Playa del Carmen for a month for the past couple years. This is our first visit to the hospital and I am completely shocked.
