Visiting Atenas and Grecia in July

Hello,
My husband and I are making a quick trip to Atenas and Grecia July 6-9 to explore the possibility of retiring in this area. Where can we meet other ex-pats and learn about what this area is like to live in as an ex-pat? We will have a rental car. If you had Friday-Sunday to explore and learn, what would you recommend? We already know we love the natural beauty so this time we are focused on getting a sense of what it would be like to live there.
