Shortly after arriving to Costa Rica, I lost my income. With the help of a friend, I was able to remain here, and I'm just now, in my 7th month of being here, able to support myself. I have yet to make a border run. I don't know what to do. I moved here for good with my pup, and there's no home to go back to. I've read some other accounts of overstays, but never of one like my own. CR is my home now, so I need to rectify this issue. Do I need a lawyer? I'm afraid to go and not be allowed to return. Leaving my dog stranded. What should I do?
