Graz is the second largest city in Austria and has a rich culture with a vibrant university scene. English is not widely spoken, so it is important to learn some German before going there. The cost of living in Graz is slightly lower than in Vienna and numerous public transport options are available to get around the city. Housing in Graz can range from luxury apartments to affordable student housing. Graz has a strong cultural identity, so be prepared to learn and take part in local customs and traditions. The city has a mild climate, with warm summers and cold winters, and plenty of outdoor activities throughout the year.
