The American Friends in Warsaw (AFW) is a volunteer organization of Americans and many other nationalities living in Poland that organizes social, cultural and charitable activities for its members.
What is unique about your organization?
AFW is a great place to meet others who understand the ups and downs of living in Warsaw. We can give you pointers as well as be sympathetic to the "moving in" blues. During the course of the year we organize cultural tours, opportunities to volunteer in the community, shopping excursions, social events and more! We welcome all nationalities, not just Americans, so please come join us!
What kind of activities does your group sponsor?
AFW organizes organizes social, cultural and charitable activities for its members. Some recent events include local tours, chamber music concert, Family Ice Skating, visit with Santa, and excellent shopping opportunities as well as our outstanding volunteer efforts in Hospitals, childrens' homes and shelter.
How often does your group meet?
Our club is active during the months of September through May. Depending on the month there are activities almost every week.

Approximately 1/3 of the member families are US citizens but we have members from over 28 different nationalities including substantial numbers of Poles, Brits, Germans, Italians, Canadians, Australians and Dutch.
