Describe your group.

The Kuantan Guide began as a community based website trying to pull the locals, expats and travellers along the east coast of peninsular Malaysia together. As members are growing and posting events there are beginning to be regular get togethers including "Thank God It's Friday" club meeting up and various establishments both fancy and cheap and a playgroup for mums and bubs.

What is unique about your organization?

The best part about The Kuantan Guide is that it is not an exclusively an expat club or international ladies group. People from all walks of life are joining and contributing.

What kind of activities does your group sponsor?

The Kuantan Guide is willing to help any groups in the Kuantan community. We are pretty good at helping new expats when they first arrive to help build their social network and can offer some advice before you arrive. Currently we are having a stationary drive (books, paints and colours) for Rapha Children's Home.

How often does your group meet?

On an adhoc basis, there are events each week and each month but there is no pressure if you come when you can and not when you are busy.
