International but predominantly English-speaking amateur theatre group.
Tagora is a section of the staff association of the Council of Europe, but we welcome participation by others who want to get involved in what we do.
What is unique about your organization?
We are the only English-speaking theatre group in Alsace that is open to all-comers.
What kind of activities does your group sponsor?
Theatrical productions, including full-length and short plays, cabaret shows, play-readings and workshops. Social events.
How often does your group meet?
Irregularly, depending on rehearsal schedules.
Is there a membership fee?
No fee is required to join in our activities.

Between 40 and 50 active members.

No. We draw particularly on the staff of the Council of Europe, an international organisation of 46 member states, so there is a rich mixture of nationalities from Europe and further afield. But around two-thirds of our active membership consists of native English-speakers: British, Irish, US, New Zealand, etc.

All speak English, most French as well, plus a good sprinkling of other European languages
