"I am a German Born American. I am 59 and plan to retire in the next 2-3 years. My retirement will involve moving to Germany. I have family there and want to get away from the hectic life in the USA. I have narrowed my search down to a few cities, but my top choice right now is Stuttgart. It's also close to relatives and the good climate year-round is a big draw. I speak German. Not as fluent as I would like, but will continue practicing so I will hopefully be fluent by the time I go. I lost my husband in 2020- so this will be a completely new adventure in my life, and I am so excited for it." - SamGray

"Hello, I am an ESL English teacher with a BA, a TEFL-Diploma, and more than 6 years teaching abroad. I have done alot with accreditation, curriculum design, and teacher training. I REALLY want to move to Germany but as an American, it's difficult. I have looked at so many schools online and applied to them but so far nothing. I know that I can stay there legally for 90 days, but after that, if I don't find work, I will have to leave. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would prefer Colognes, Frankfurt am Main or any area in between. I have started learning German, because I know it's difficult to do anything there without it. I am open to all suggestions.
