"Hello, I am considering a move to the DR. Not sure of the location I want ot go. I visited for the first time in Dec '11; loved it. Flew into Santo Domingo; took the autobus to Mao Valverde; lovely town. Drove up to Puerto Plata and Sosua. Didn't have an opportunity to see much of Sosua but like the location. Do not want to be too close to tourist area but do want to be close to airport. Anyone with ideas on the better location to begin? Santo Domingo or Sosua? I did like Mao Valverde, but it seems far from the airports (3-4 from Santo Domingo and 1.5-2 from Puerto Plata). Looking to move to a location where I can teach Information Technology and Computers.
