Okay so I am a 22 year old American girl planning on coming to Cairo for my 4th time in March and staying there for three years. I am getting married to an incredible Egyptian sometime in May :) His family has been wonderful and my family has as well:) So far so good.
I have done a lot of traveling by myself in Europe teaching English and working as a Nanny. Here in the states I am a full time student and I work as a Community Living Support person which basically is a fancy title for doing home health care for children with special needs who would otherwise be institutionalized. I have been doing this for four years.
So here are my questions:
1) With this kind of mixed work experience I don't know how I am going to find a job in Cairo that pays a decent salary. If I dont work I will go crazy so I need to find some sort of job. I've looked at different websites but none of the jobs listed are in my area of work.
2) I have a basic idea but I don't really know what to expect for an Egyptian wedding.
3) I have made some friends with some really great Egyptian girls but sometimes I wish I could just relax and shoot the shi/t with some English speaking ex-pats.
(did you all know your not allowed to swear on this forum?)
So if anyone has some information that could help me ease my worries about moving to Cairo It would be greatly appreciated. :)
