We have a baby daughter about 6 months old. We call her Sumayyah. About a month ago Sumayyah began to scoot around on the floor. At first it seemed that she was not sure what to do; to move her hands first or her feet first or to just kinda inch forward on her belly like a worm. It was sooo funny when she would raise both hands and feet off the floor, showing off her skydiving technique, all the while remaining stationary. Like typical parents we thought we could help. We would hold bright toys in front her hoping that she would put hands and feet back on the floor to move her body forward to grab the toy. We would say encouraging stuff like, “Come on, Sumayyah, you can do it. Come get it. Come get the toy. You know howta do it. Come on, girl”. It didn’t work. All she did was just smile and look at us like we were crazy or something. She ended up getting the toy anyways, without moving an inch. After 20 minutes or so of her skydiving routine (and out of frustration) we just gave it to her.

We really wanted her to be walking for sanitation before we arrive in Morocco. Any suggestions on how to keep her clean without constantly holding her?
