My wife and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois, and dream of moving to Warsaw, Poland. My wife is from Warsaw, so for her it's going back home. I am disenchanted with life in America for a variety of reasons I shall not get into here, but I have been to Warsaw twice (on vacation) and am eager to explore the possibility of moving there for good. But vacationing in Warsaw and living/working there are not the same, of course.
I work in IT (Windows System Engineer) and was wondering what kind of work, salary, etc. I might get. I do not speak the language . . . yet. I also keep reading about teaching English as a possible work opportunity. Is this a realistic option, given that I do not have formal teaching experience? Can anyone offer any advice in this regard? Also any general thoughts on living in Warsaw?
