Trying to send a laptop to a college student in Nicaragua. FED X is real expensive. Is the US postal service any good. Can someone transport it for me if anyone going there soon. Marc

I suggest you post your request on some of the many Facebook groups for Nicaragua, most of which have a fairly large membership, including people who travel back and forth, and could help you get the laptop there safely. I wouldn't fancy its chances by mail.

Getting someone to carry it down is a good idea...

Post office will be a pain to retrieve and will most likely cost you/him duty

Be advised there are good, inexpensive laptops for sale in Nicaragua...

Be Aware! The laptops use spanish keyboards which someone will need to explain to you, they do have certain advantages however.
