Is mail still being delivered from US to Nicaragua and vice versa? If so, how?

The week of Apr 20 the US Soc Sec office said they would mail a letter to me. They seem to have my NICA address, so I expect it soon. Upon receipt I will advise. H2O 212F

Tried to mail a letter to US this week. they would not accept it.
I assume it is because of the lack of flights.
Soc. Sec. and IRS are dinosaur poop, they won't email anything.
Somebody might want to email the Consulate to see if they have a fix on it.

I wrote to the US Embassy in Managua to see if they could help me mail my tax return to the USA, but they were of no help. Did you check with DHL or FedEX? They are very expensive but may be my last resort. I usually prepare it for mailing in the USA and have someone who is going to the USA take it and drop it in a mailbox once in the USA - but no one is travelling right now.

Taxes are not due until July 15th, so I am hoping someone can travel there by then. Another extension until October 15 can also be requested. (Form 4868, can be filed online.)

thanx, I sent 1 $87 letter by dhl before I discovered Correo $27 international priority mail. Plan to wait it out a while, irs owes me so no penalties, etc. Hope there are some flights for mail within a couple months or the Consulate arranges something but I am self quarantining for the 6 months and don't want any trips to Managua.

Maybe I will have my wife call dhl on the phone..

In many countries the local post office routinely uses DHL for their stuff.....Just country to country..after that local PO takes over.

Anyway..all IRS stuff is extended
