Summary: A newcomer to Arkansas should begin their search by researching the different cities and towns in the state to determine which areas best fit their needs. They should also consider their budget and the type of home they are looking for. Once they have narrowed down their search, they should contact a local real estate agent to help them find the perfect home. Homes in Arkansas typically include amenities such as spacious yards, large kitchens, and plenty of storage space. Many homes also feature outdoor living spaces, such as decks and patios, as well as modern appliances and updated fixtures. Depending on the area, some homes may also include features such as swimming pools, hot tubs, and outdoor fireplaces.

What do I need to know when buying property in Arkansas?

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Arkansas, they said:

"When buying property in Arkansas, it is important to research local housing laws and restrictions and understand the closing costs and fees associated with the purchase. It is also important to get a qualified home inspection and understand what kind of taxes are associated with the property. Be sure to read all documents carefully and ask questions before signing any documents. It is also wise to talk with a reputable real estate agent or attorney to gain advice on the purchase. Lastly, make sure you purchase adequate insurance to protect your investment," explained one person living in Arkansas.
