"When buying property in Missouri, it is important to be aware of the local zoning laws and deed restrictions, as well as any taxes or fees that might be associated with the purchase. It is also important to obtain and review a copy of the deed and any other relevant documents to make sure that the title is in good standing and that there are no liens associated with the property. It is also necessary to obtain an inspection of the property prior to purchase to evaluate the condition of the property and any potential repairs that could be needed. Additionally, it is important to know who will be responsible for amounts due to the homeowners association or other parties, as well as the insurance coverage terms. Finally, a buyer should obtain legal advice concerning the closing of the sale and the signing of any contracts or documents related to the purchase," explained one foreigner living in Missouri.
