This community often organizes social events, providing a great opportunity to meet new people and make friends. Culturally, Koh Samui has a lot to offer. There are numerous Buddhist temples to explore, including the famous Big Buddha temple. The local markets are a feast for the senses, offering a wide range of Thai food, crafts, and other goods. Thai cooking classes are also popular among expats, providing a fun and interactive way to learn about the local cuisine. Recreational activities are plentiful in Koh Samui. The island is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, snorkeling, diving, and sailing. There are also several golf courses on the island, which are popular among retirees.
