It's also considered impolite to interrupt someone while they are speaking. When dining, remember that it's customary to say "Bon appétit" before starting to eat. Also, it's considered rude to leave food on your plate, so only take what you can finish. In Martinique, punctuality is not as strictly observed as in some other cultures. However, it's still important to be on time for formal occasions or business meetings. Lastly, remember to respect the local environment.
