"There is a cheerful religious freedom that I have never seen anywhere else - Sikh gudwaras next to Muslim mosques, Buddhist temples, Christian churches, Hindu temples. The variety of food, particularly vegetable-based, is great: even if you're not vegetarian, it's worth trying and usually tastes better than the meat dishes," remarked another expat who made the move to Mussoorie, India.
"Expats in Mussoorie appreciate the friendly and welcoming nature of the local people. They also enjoy the vibrant culture, with its colorful festivals, traditional music and dance, and delicious cuisine. The stunning natural beauty of the area, with its lush green hills and majestic mountains, is also a major draw for expats.
