What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Curitiba. They wrote...

"Expats in Curitiba often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The language barrier can be a challenge, as Portuguese is the primary language spoken in the city. Additionally, the local customs and etiquette can be difficult to navigate, as they are quite different from those of other countries. Furthermore, the city's infrastructure can be difficult to navigate, as it is not always well-marked or easy to understand. Finally, the cost of living in Curitiba can be quite high, making it difficult for expats to adjust to the local economy," remarked another expat who made the move to Curitiba, Brazil.
