"Expats in Mt. Moritz often find the pace of life to be much slower than they are used to, which can be challenging to adjust to. The local culture is very laid-back and things often do not happen as quickly or efficiently as they might in other countries. Another challenge is the language barrier. While English is the official language of Grenada, the local dialect can be difficult to understand for those not familiar with it. Expats may also find it challenging to navigate the local bureaucracy, which can be complex and time-consuming. This can be particularly difficult for those trying to start a business or buy property. The local cuisine, while delicious, can be quite spicy and may not suit everyone's palate. Additionally, the availability of certain goods and products can be limited, which can be frustrating for those used to having a wide variety of options. Finally, while Grenadians are generally friendly and welcoming, it can take time to fully integrate into the local community. This can be challenging for expats who are used to a more transient lifestyle," said a member in Mt. Moritz, Grenada.
