Is there a lot of crime in Tijuana?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Tijuana has a reputation for being a dangerous city. Gang violence is common, and drug-related crimes, such as organized crime, smuggling, and trafficking, occur in the area. There have been reports of violence against tourists, as well as kidnappings and assaults. The Mexican government has recently stepped up efforts to combat crime in the city, but the level of crime remains concerning for many residents and visitors," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Tijuana, Mexico.
