What should I pack when moving to Santa Ana?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Santa Ana to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Santa Ana, you should pack lightweight clothing due to the tropical climate. Include items such as shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. However, also pack a few warmer items like a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings or air-conditioned places. Don't forget to pack a good quality sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. A reusable water bottle would also be useful to stay hydrated. Pack your essential toiletries, but remember that most items can be purchased locally. If you have specific brands you prefer, it might be a good idea to bring them along. Bring any necessary prescription medications, along with a copy of your prescription. It's also a good idea to pack a basic first aid kit. If you plan on exploring the beautiful natural areas of Costa Rica, pack suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. A swimsuit is a must for enjoying the beautiful beaches. Remember to pack all necessary travel documents, including your passport, driver's license, and any necessary visas or residency paperwork. Pack any electronics you'll need, including your phone, laptop, and chargers. An adapter may be necessary as Costa Rica uses Type A and Type B plugs. Lastly, consider packing a few items to make your new place feel like home, such as photos or small mementos," said another expat in Santa Ana, Costa Rica.
