As a foreigner living in Granada, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Granada if they have access to public healthcare in Granada. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Granada, you will have access to public healthcare, but the quality and availability of services may vary. Public healthcare in Nicaragua is generally considered to be of lower quality compared to private healthcare facilities. The public hospitals and clinics may be overcrowded, understaffed, and lack essential medical supplies. Additionally, there might be long waiting times for appointments and treatments. It is recommended for foreigners to obtain private health insurance and seek medical care at private hospitals and clinics, which tend to have better facilities, equipment, and staff," wrote a member who made the move to Granada, Nicaragua.
